Human Resources Lead

Purpose
The TBS Human Resources Lead is responsible for designing the overall HR strategy and is involved in all aspects of recruiting, onboarding, training and maintaining welfare of both drivers and workforce for the complete lifecycle of the TBS project.

Qualifications

– University degree required (advanced agree preferred)
 
– Fluent in English
 
– Experience with governmental services and agencies
 
– Strong analytic capabilities (i.e. the ability to gather and analyze data and propose solutions)
 
– Specific Mega-event experience within HR department
 
– Strong operational background and understanding of KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and operational efficiencies/improvements
 
– Fundamental understanding of world class event transportation and the key inputs that contribute to project success

Event Experience
Minimum 10 years of progressive responsibilities and work-related experience, and any combination of education and training, which provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job, combined with demonstrated professional growth and achievement
 
– Previous involvement in planning and operating complex events in size and nature of FIFA World Cup
 
– Experience in two (2) recent, relevant tier 1 world mega events in the last 8 years (i.e. World Cup, Summer Olympics, etc)
 
– Experience in managing big teams and working with a variety of stakeholders

Primary Duties
– Provide tools and guidelines to support and implement policies and procedures, employment agreements
 
– Maintain a high-quality central HR function, ensure appropriate systems and processes are designed & utilized, including the use of metrics and data to inform key decisions
 
– Lead development and execution employee engagement and retention strategies, plans, and initiatives
 
– Resolve complex employee relations in a balanced, fair and objective manner, using appropriate counseling, investigative, intervention and mediation techniques, in compliance with national labour law
 
– Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
 
– Perform risk management to minimize project risks
 
– Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
 
– Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

Knowledge and Skills Required
– Advanced level Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
 
– The knowledge and ability to serve as a Subject Matter Expert for all team members regarding operational related issues
 
– Broad understanding of employment law, recruitment and selection, employee relations, compensation, and benefits and HR Systems selection & implementation
 
– Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, complex, decentralized and geographically diverse organizational structure
 
– The ability to handle and maintain a high level of confidentiality and common sense regarding sensitive information is essential
