TECHNICAL SALES MANAGER

JOB DESCRIPTION


DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

Vision and Leadership
Daily communications with OM on strategy, business development, operations & requirements
ALS Sales & Growth Strategy development
Create and maintain customer relations
Regular communications with ALS OM, GBM and existing operations coordinators to ensure ongoing technical support & sales are working in sync.Focused on development and profitable growth of market share by targeting key clients & projects
Maintain a database of marketing intelligence to support pricing strategies on tenders and RFQs.
Identify & secure strategic growth opportunities for the ALS product line to facilitate rapid growth & support infrastructures in-line with MENA ALS Management & GPL strategy.Promote product and services, identify new markets and look for opportunities to expand and evolve existing markets.Support Project start-ups, Plan and coordinate training as required by product line strategy.Provide & Support strategic build up of ALS technical, commercial & operational support infrastructure for the regions/geomarkets
Liaise closely with GPL/Engineering teams and communicate upwards technical challenges & support requirements.Define areas in the market where WFT can build niche solutions to ensure future growth & market share.Seek and identify synergies across ALS  product lines.Provide technical support and solutions to customers

Financial Performance
Develop and execute marketing plans, business plans, sales strategies, and action plans for identified opportunity targets that clearly define objectives, goals, schedules, and action assignments for the product line
Provide the data to prepare, update, and control forecasts covering projected new-business sales and investment requirements by both Weatherford and the customer
Proactively engage the PLs and identify business opportunities to deliver improved results for both Weatherford and customers.
Operational Capability
Partner with country operations to ensure effective delivery of products and services, maintaining communication throughout full sales and delivery cycle
Ensure regional compliance with Sales
Force.com implementation and usage
Client and Communication
Confer with key customers regarding equipment/product/service needs and advise key customers on types of equipment to purchase
Support Country/Area and Regional Sales Teams by providing sales training and marketing material targeted for customers and application specific opportunities.Maintain personal contact with key customers on a frequent basis
Resolve customer complaints regarding service, product, or personnel
Team Building and Mentoring
Lead the way on people management to drive a motivated disciplined and productive workforce.  This includes effective staff leadership, performance management by setting objectives and driving appriasals and communication
Drive strategies for recruitment and retention of key sales personnel to foster an environment that enables the company to attract and retain a high performing talented workforce

  • Extensive knowledge of oilfield services, equipment, and parts
